      <abstract>
        <p>Digital marketing has become an essential tool for businesses operating in emerging economies, where fast technological adoption and shifting consumer behaviours are transforming how brands interact with their customers. The widespread adoption of the internet, along with the proliferation of low-cost cell phones, has offered new opportunities for businesses to contact varied consumer segments directly and efficiently. In these rapidly changing industries, traditional marketing tactics frequently fall short, while digital channels— ranging from social media and mobile applications to e-commerce platforms and targeted online advertising—provide more dynamic, cost-effective, and measurable alternatives. This article investigates the efficacy of digital marketing methods in several emerging economies, identifying which approaches engage with local consumers and which fail to produce meaningful results. This article examines and synthesises existing research, providing practical insights and evidence-based advice for firms looking to enhance their digital marketing efforts. It also provides guidelines for policymakers and industry stakeholders who want to create an environment that promotes long-term digital engagement, trust, and the success of both brands and local economies. Finally, the article indicates that success in digital marketing in emerging countries is dependent not just on creativity and technological tools, but also on knowing the local environment and tailoring strategies to the specific needs of varied consumer bases. This paper synthesises research and case studies to provide actionable advice for organisations and policymakers looking to improve digital engagement, encourage consumer trust, and generate long-term success.</p>
